Every EU student who enrolls in one of the English-taught bachelor programmes pays the same tuition fee as a Dutch student.

Cost of tuition fee

The tuition fee for the academic year 2021-2022 is € 2,168.

The Dutch government is halving tuition fees for 1st year students in higher education. Those who meet all the conditions will pay € 1,084 instead of € 2,168 for the 1st year. Read more about the terms and conditions below.

The tuition fees for non-EU students (excluding students Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, and Switzerland) for the academic year 2021-2022 are €10,186.

Terms & Conditions for halving tuition fees for 1 year

Halving the 1st year tuition fee applies to all students who:

  • Started their 1st undergraduate study programme at a university of applied sciences or university funded by the Dutch government during or after the academic year 2018-2019

  • Is starting a bachelor degree or associate degree

  • Pays the regulatory tuition fees
