To enrol as a student at HAS University of Applied Sciences, you need to pay a tuition fee. 

The tuition fee for 2019-2020 is:
EU students : € 2.083,00
The Dutch government is halving tuition fees for 1st year students in higher education. Those who meet all the conditions will pay €1,041,50 instead of €2,083 for the 1st year. Read more about the terms and conditions below.

Non-EU students : € 7.550,00

  • If you are a student from a SEPA country (all EU countries + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, Switzerland) you can pay the tuition fee by setting up a direct debit from June onwards. If you are admitted to one of our study programmes you will automatically receive information when it is possible to set up the direct debit.
  • If you are a non-EU student (excluding students Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, and Switzerland) you will receive an invoice along with information on the visa application procedure from the International Office. 

The following fees apply to non-EU students on top of the tuition fee:
Visa fee : € 171,00
Insurance 1st year of study : € 472,00

The 1st invoice will contain an amount of € 4.500,00 as a down payment for the tuition fees, visa fee and insurance fee. Before the 1st of September, you will receive a final invoice including the remaining fees from the department Finance & Reporting. This invoice takes the down payment into account and will contain the amount for the study trips for your 1st year of study (only applicable if you paid the down payment). This invoice can be paid in instalments.

Tuition fees halved

Terms & Conditions for halving tuition fees for 1 year
 
Halving the 1st year tuition fee applies to all students who:
  • Started their first undergraduate study programme at a university of applied sciences or university funded by the Dutch government during or after the academic year 2018-2019
  • Is starting a bachelor degree or associate degree
  • Pays the regulatory tuition fees
This applies to full-time students, dual study students, part-time students, Open University students and university college students.

How to set up a Direct Debit

  1. Go to studielink: https://app.studielink.nl/front-office/ (or select the UK flag on www.studielink.nl) and log in with your user name and password (or DigiD if you are registered in the Netherlands). If you haven’t already done so, you can set up your account on this page first.
  2. Under the header “My To Do List” you will find “Submit your payment details”.
  3. You will be asked to fill in details such as the account number, the name of your bank, who will be paying, if you want to make a single payment or payment in instalments.
  4. Continue filling in the required details until you have clicked on “Confirm”.

Please note

If you use the option: “I will pay” you will receive a message in Studielink to authorise the direct debit yourself. Only then the authorisation will be definite. If you use the option: “Someone else will pay” you will receive a mail which you must pass on to the person who will be paying. They can log in using their user name and password and confirm that they will be paying your tuition fee.

Please note that the dates of the instalments mentioned in Studielink are not correct. You will find the correct dates below at Information instalments.

Information instalments

If you choose to pay in a single instalment, the tuition fees will be taken from your account on 6 September 2019.
The administration costs for payment in instalments is: €24,-
This will be taken from your account with the 1st instalment on 6 September 2019.
